Kiefer Sutherland is back in TOUCH

Couple of years ago, 10 years & 7 months to be precise, a TV series was created by Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow with company credits going to 20th Century Fox Television, the main character being Kiefer Sutherland was aired. The name of the series …………… 24…. 9 years later, 24 became a household TV series and Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland’s Role) became a household name. Till date Kiefer is better known as Jack Bauer, and though the series ended in 2010 with Season 8, fans and viewers alike, me inclusive 😉 would not mind another season of 24.

>>>>>>Fast fowarding to the present, Kiefer was billed to star in a new TV series to be directed by Tim Kring. When i heard this news i was wondering what the series had to offer and if Kiefer would act a similar role as he did in 24. Well i was a bit sad when i found out that was not to be the case but when i watched the Pilot episode of the new series, i was like MORE!!! The name of the series is TOUCH and its major cast are Kiefer Sutherland as Martin BohmGugu Mbatha-Raw as Clea HopkinsDavid Mazouz as Jake Bohm and Danny Glover as Arthur Teller.

Touch is a TV series about a widower and single father Martin Bohm who is haunted by his inability to reach out to his 11-year old emotionally challenged son Jake Bohm who hasn’t spoken a word in 11yrs 4months 21days 14hours (neat stats ryt, 😉 ). But when Martin discovers that Jake can predict the future with numbers as this are the only thing he writes, and can see how the entire 7,080,360,000 people on the planet are connected to each other, everything changes….

The show has been met with generally positive reviews, and currently holds a Metacritic score of 63/100. For a show that mixes spirituality with a thriller concept, TOUCH is a great watch. So far 5 episodes have been aired.

Rating: 8.5/10

Viewing Worthiness: Its worth the time spent. 🙂
