Good day folks. Sorry have been away. *cleans cobweb from the blog*… Be right back lemme dust the blog clean…. *5 mins later*……..
Now we can continue. Sorry have been away. Internet and having the right device has been an issue but that has been resolved so expect to get posts more often.
Expendables 2 is up for inspection. *puts on me sherlock holmes hat*. To be honest did not think this movie will be top notch seeing as the first installment was a just there movie. Did not impress in the plot. Only impressive thing were the characters that acted the movie. But its right to say EX-II impressed a lot
Directed by Simon West with writing credits by Richard Wenk, David Agosto, Ken Kaufman; screenplay by Sylvester Stallone and Richard Wenk, EX-II casts Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross, Jason Statham as Lee Christmas, Jet Li as Yin Yang, Dolph Lundgren as Gunner Jensen, Chuck Norris as Booker, Terry Crews as Hale Caesar, Bruce Willis as Church, Jean Claude Van-Damme as Villian, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Trench, Randy Couture as Toll Road, Liam Hemsworth as Billy the Kid and Nan Yu as Maggie.
EX-II picks up from where EX-I stopped with Ross’s team doing what they know how to do beat with a new member, Billy, joining them. Church reassembles the team for a mission and adds Maggie to their ranks. But the mission goes south when the team is ambushed by the Villain and 1 of the team members dies (not telling). It was now in the words of Barney, “A track ’em, find ’em & kill ’em” mission.
EX-II has an average storyline but makes its impact with the cameo apperances such as Chuck Norris’s ( i screamed in the cinema hall when i saw him as did other people), well blended one liners and good action scenes. Time was not wasted in any scene and the cast played their roles well above average. Its good to see the action kings we grew up watching in action again and together in one movie.
Cinema Worthiness: Worth the money and time spent. Go see it today.
Lee Christmas: I now pronounce you “man” & “knife”.
Lee Christmas: What’s the plan?
Barney Ross: Track ’em, find ’em, kill ’em.
Jean Vilain: Six pounds of pure plutonium is powerful enough to change the balance of the world. Imagine what five tons will do.
Barney Ross: That’s how we deal with death. We keep it light, until it’s time to go dark. Then we go pitch black.
Trench: I’ll be back.
Mr. Church: You’ve been back enough. I’ll be back. Trench: Yippie-kay-yay
Trench: I need a big weapon. [he looks at Hale’s gun.] Yours!
Hale Caesar: My big weapons stays right where it is. [Trench takes his gun anyway] If I don’t get this back, your ass is terminated!
Trench: In your dreams.
Trench: My shoe is bigger than this car!
Church: Shoot something!
Barney Ross: I heard you were bitten by a king Cobra.
Booker: Yeah i was. After 5 days of agonizing pain the cobra died.
That’s a wrap folks.
