*walks into blog and starts sanitation on it*… Whewwww!!! *spots a cobweb and takes it out*
Now am done. Sorry about being away from here, i have been swamped up and been trying to find my muse. Now have found it, am gonna start Dmoviereview’s 2013 blogging with a review of the movie FLIGHT.
Released on the 2nd of November, 2012, Flight is directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by John Gatins, it stars Denzel Washington as Whip Whitaker, Nadine Velazquez as Katerina Marquez, Tamara Tunie as Margaret Thomason, and Don Cheadle as Hugh Lang.
Flight is a movie that centres around an airline pilot who saved about 97% of his passengers in an airline crash, but an investigation into the crash reveals something troubling.
Flight is a great movie with a nice plot with little loop holes. Denzel Washington is a genius and he proved why he’s an Oscar award winner with an astonishing performance. I must say he left me awed with some of the feats his character had to pull off.
Great movie with a great performance by all involved. As of the time of writing this post, the movie has been nominated for the forthcoming Academy Awards aka Oscars in the following categories; Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role – Denzel Washington & Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen – John Gatins
Cinema Worthiness: 3 words… Go see it
Hugh Lang: [to Whip] The FAA and the NTSB took 10 pilots, placed them in simulators, recreated the events that led to this plane falling out of the sky. Do you know how many of them were able to safely land the planes? Not one. Every pilot crashed the aircraft, killed everybody on board. You were the only one who could do it!
Harling Mays: What the hell kind of meds they giving you? Alprazolam: that’s generic xanax. Hydrocodone: that’s generic Vicodin. Probably Canadian. Where’s the dihydromorphine? Is this amateur hour? Get that doctor in here; you just saved a hundred people!
Whip: Harling! Did you bring my smokes?
Harling Mays: Yes I did. I got your medicines, and yes I got your smokes right here. Here’s a fresh carton. Hell, if I was you, I’d fire up right here in the damn room.
