The end of Game of Thrones’s inter-season hiatus is near. On Thursday, HBO announced that the medieval drama series will return to television screens on Sunday, April 12 for the show’s fifth season.
G.O.T. fans will not have to wait a full three months for their Westeros fix, however. Earlier this week, it was announced that HBO struck a deal for the final two episodes of Season 4—as well as the Season-5 trailer—to be shown on IMAX screens from January 23 to January 29. The episodes will be digitally remastered before their big-screen unveiling, and will be shown at 150 theaters around the country.
In other news, it was also reported that the fifth season of Game of Thrones will be teased on HBO with a television special on February 8 called “A Day in the Life.”
